Euro 2016 is upon us and unfortunately no West Ham players will be representing England.

In my opinion, there should have been two West Ham players boarding the England plane to France; Andy Carroll for his aerial dominance which no other England striker offers and Mark Noble because of his consistency in the heart of our midfield which he has shown for a number of years now.

However, we can look forward to seeing Hammers defenders James Collins and Angelo Ogbonna play at the back for Wales and Italy respectively. Darren Randolph will be between the sticks for Ireland and of course Hammer of the Year Dimitri Payet will be representing the host nation France.

We will see James Collins’ Wales play against England on the 16th June which will be the second Group B game for both nations. Russia and Slovakia make up the rest of Group B.

Also Angelo Ogbonna’s Italy take on Darren Randolph’s Ireland in group E on June 22nd. Sweden and Belgium are the other two nations in this group making it the group of death.

Dimitri Payet’s France are in Group A which contains Romania, Switzerland and Albania where he could come across former Hammers Razvan Rat and Valon Behrami.

Best of luck to the all these Hammers representing their countries.
